Qatar has four 18-hole golf courses in operation nowadays. Among them, two are sand, and two are grassed. The 9-hole academy and Qatar Petroleum’s 9-hole academy at Doha Golf Club remain mostly full. 

Ras Abu Aboud golf course in Doha also remains occupied. Moreover, it is the most recent addition to the Ras Laffan golf course. It has amazing sand fairways with grass tees and greens.

In 1991, the Qatar Golf Club Association was established. The Qatar General Authority for Youth and Sports founded the association.

1. Education City Golf Club

Also, to a floodlit 9-hole par-3 course, Jose Maria Olazabal, a two-time major winner. No better place exists in Qatar to play golf than this club. 

2. Doha Golf Club

It is among the oldest golf clubs in the region. During the 1998 Middle East swing, the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters served as the second stop. As a result, grass golf in Qatar became a world phenomenon. 

The first event was won by a young Scot named Andrew Coltart. As a result, the tournament has had a star-studded gathering every year. Qatar’s epicenter of golf is the 27-hole Doha Golf Course Club, designed by Peter Harradine.

Since it was built by oil workers many years ago, this is a proper desert course. In a game, you’ll carry an astroturf mat around and hit the ball off the carpet if it falls on the fairway. You take your chances in the desert sand unless you’re on the fairway.
