Food and Sightseeing

Losari Beach was once known for its sunsets and having the world’s most extended tables and stalls. Why is it dubbed the beach with the most extended tables and booths in the world? Along this beach, there used to be tent stalls that connected for approximately 1 KM.

In addition to hawking various seafood at night, the stalls also sell different typical food in Makassar. The most famous is the banana epe. Banana epe is a burned banana, then flaked and given brown sugar water. Very delicious when eaten while still warm.

Currently, the stalls have been moved, no longer along the beach but in the vicinity of the beach spread, precisely in front of the Makassar mayor’s house.

This tourist location is most visited by young people who gather from 3 pm to 9 pm. They usually meet while waiting and enjoying the sunset and then proceed to a seafood stall for cheap, delicious seafood.

Apart from enjoying the beauty of the beach, visitors can also access the internet from this beach. This is one of the unique features of Losari Beach, a beach that has accessible internet hotspot facilities.

This place is also often used as a place to exercise. Many people come to this beach for a morning run because of the cool air and the breeze. Losari Beach is a natural tourist spot rarely found in other cities because there are rarely natural attractions in the middle of the town.

On Losari Beach, there is no sand like on other beaches, so you will not be able to play with sand. In addition, you should not swim here because the water is so deep that it is dangerous for swimming activities.

Instead, there are water games such as boats, water bikes, and banana boats on this beach. Even though there is no sand, a concrete barrier protects the shoreline from the waves. The concrete dam is usually crowded with people who fish.

The beach is situated on Jalan Penghibur, where you will find a variety of hotels and accommodations so that you can choose a hotel that suits your needs. Because it is located in the city center, it is straightforward to reach by using public transportation. In addition, entering this tourist area is free of charge.

Available Facilities

The facilities available at this attraction are pretty complete, including public toilets, prayer rooms, restaurants, trash cans, information boards, and parking areas.

Moreover, the management provides a variety of unique photo spots that are unfortunately overlooked.

You can also play several water games in this park, including duck boats, water bikes, and banana boats.

Even around Losari Beach, you can also do other activities, such as fishing, enjoying the beautiful sunset in the afternoon, and playing futsal in the available fields. Alternatively, would you prefer to visit the mosque of Amirul Mukminin instead? If so, you can rent a boat to get there because the mosque’s location is as prominent as Losari Beach Makassar.

In this beach area, there is a unique and exciting mosque. The mosque has 2 minarets and 2 domes, which is impressive because it is a floating mosque.

About 400 worshippers can be accommodated in the Amirul Mukminin Mosque, which is located on the beach.

Losari Beach differs from beaches in general in that it does not have a soft stretch of sand but rather rocks that serve as breakwaters.

The management made a beachfront platform complete with various attractive facilities and photo spots to attract many tourists. How about visiting Losari Beach during your vacation?
