7. Round trip to Mount Julioz

Duration : 2h

Distance: 6,0 km

Height: 552 m

Difficulty: Difficile

A well-marked route for this hike in the Bauges massif… but not recommended for children or people prone to vertigo! You will have to walk along a rocky ridge that, gradually, will allow you to see the whole chain. The Dent des Portes, Mont Trélod, Mont Pécloz or dent de Rossanaz are all in the game.

Initially forested, the route is quickly mountainous and sometimes requires “putting your hands”. For the more athletic, it is possible to join the GR of the Tour des Bauges. The course allows you to learn the joys of walking in the mountains. We recommend it, but bring a good jacket: it’s sometimes windy.
